Mografy Pro Triangulum is the paid edition of Mografy that we are building, and it is coming soon. It is not an update to the open-source edition but a separate version, and everything in this post is part of it.
Pro is the biggest step for Mografy yet. AI still builds the film, and now you can arrange it directly too.
It is not released yet. This post is a first look based on the working prototype we are building, so details may still change before launch.
Layers become motion components
Every element in a scene, such as a title, a card or a logo, becomes a layer with its own solid on the timeline. There are no keyframes to manage. Each solid is a motion component with three parts: enter, hold and exit.
- Enter and exit are presets from the design system: fade, fade up, pop, blur in and wipe.
- Drag either end of a solid and only the hold changes. Enter and exit keep their timing.
- If a solid becomes shorter than its enter and exit, both shrink in proportion, so nothing jumps.
- Layers can be hidden but not deleted in the editor, so a stray key never removes part of your film.
Your edits are saved as small overrides beside the scene, so Claude Code or Codex can read exactly what you changed and carry on from there.
A design system for every project
Every project has its own style guide: which colours, which fonts and how things move. AI checks it before making each new shot, so however many shots you add, the whole film still looks like one piece.
Change one token and every layer that uses it updates at once. A different brand colour or a calmer pace is a single change, not a hunt through every scene.
The design system also has its own page, opened from the editor. It shows colours with contrast checks, type at real 1080p sizes, spacing and safe areas, and every motion component playing live.
Motion that runs on springs
Triangulum brings an all-new way to animate: physics-based motion that runs on springs instead of durations and easing curves. A spring is described by its damping and stiffness, so motion settles naturally and feels consistent across the whole film.
- Spatial springs move position, size and rotation, and may bounce a little.
- Effects springs change opacity, colour and blur, and never bounce.
- Both come in fast, default and slow speeds.
- Each project picks an expressive or standard scheme in
design.json.
Subtitles that follow their layers
The long list of subtitle fields is replaced by a compact subtitle manager. Each line is tied to a layer, so when you move a layer, its subtitle moves with it.
Rows stay collapsed to a single line with their time and a preview. Search them, show only the lines on screen now, and open one at a time to edit.
Search, switch and choose your language
A few more changes make everyday work smoother:
- Project search: type a few letters, such as
lpcfor lunar-pop-club, and press Enter to open it. Press / to search from anywhere. - Video / Present switch: the same project as a film or as slides, with slides worked out from your layers.
- Interface language: switch the editor between Traditional Chinese and English at any time.
Pro and the open-source edition
Mografy Pro Triangulum is the first paid version of Mografy. The open-source edition stays available, and you can keep creating and exporting locally as you do today.
Pricing and how to subscribe will be announced before launch. Commercial Sponsors who subscribe in the launch month get their first month at the sponsor price.
When is it coming?
Mografy Pro Triangulum is in active development, and there is nothing to buy or install yet. When it launches, we will announce pricing and how to get it right here.
Some ideas need to move. With Triangulum, they are easier to shape once they do.
